After the calculations and designs of geodesic dome with the height of 25 m and opening of 120 m designed by Icosa System engineers were approved by METU, the production of a geodesic dome with the opening of 12 m and height of 3 m was made following the approved dome design methods.
The produced dome was compared to the theoretical design by subjecting it to various load experiments and it was found out to be safe. Two tons of steel material was used in this dome.
